You can! I am both an AKC Evaluator and a Certified Trick Dog Instructor with Do More With Your Dog.
You can earn your dog’s title by submitting a video for me to review including enough tricks for the title. Each organization has their own rules. Evaluations are included in the enrollment of the class. -
There are separate rules for each title
AKC Rules:
Your dog performs 10 skills from the Novice List. If your dog has a Canine Good Citizen (CGC) title on record they can perform 5 tricks instead. Food lures can be used for all tricks. Tricks can not be reused for future titles. Your dog will need an AKC number to submit their title.
DMWYD Rules:
Your dog demonstrates 15 tricks (advanced and expert tricks count as 2 tricks). Tricks do not need to be perfect. Treat and toy lures may be used on no more than 50% of the tricks. Tricks may be reused for future titles.
For all titles you should not be physically manipulating your dog. Tricks do not need to be performed on the same day. You can use treats and clickers. -
Once you sign up for the class, you will be emailed a link to join the private Facebook group. Introduce yourself and your pup!
Once class begins, videos will be posted each week with exercises for you to practice with your dog at home. Feel free to ask any questions in the group and share videos of your progress!
Videos are not Live so don’t worry about being there at a specific time.

You will want treats that your dog LOVES! Other than that, some tricks may require props, but substitutes may be made. Here are a couple props that may be used in class:

Hula hoop for Hoop Jump
Muffin tin for Muffin Tin Game
Cups or flower pots for Shell Game
Soccer ball for Push a Soccer Ball
Platform or stool for Paws Up on an Object

Other ideas for props can be given. Get creative!
